Bibelausgaben von de Tournes, im Oktavformat. Mit den hübschen Holzschn., die zuerst 1553 für die "Quadrains historiques de la Bible" von Claude Paradin gemacht wurden, einem der Höhepunkte der franz. Buchillustration aus der Zeit des Manierismus. - Anfangs einige der Holzschn. kolor. - Tls. etw. wasserrandig, S. 1129 bis Schluss mit starkem Mäusefraß re. unt. (Textverlust), Titel mit gestrichenem Besitzverm. - With approx. 190 woodcuts in the text. Contemporary leather over wood (damaged, severely worn). Few woodcuts in the beginning coloured. Partly somewhat waterstained, p. 1129 until the end with damage done by mice (text loss), title with erased ownership note.
